Can Niacin & Simvastin Be Substituted For Simcor?

My name is m.w.werneke, I live in Mansfield, Texas. I have used Simcor 500/20 for many years. The price has gone up ,part D insurance is dropping the drug and it s hard to find. Can I start substituting niacin and simvastin? My e- mail is mr.werneke@ sbcglobal.net. Thank you

I have gone through your query.Simcor is actually the combination of simvastatin and niacin usually in extended release form.So you can take both drugs separately also according to the dosage included which is niacin 500 and simvastatin 20.Hope this may help you.
