Can Nay Online Doctor Help In Reading LFT Report?

Dear doctor today i got my report of LFT and i found SGPT(134), SGOT(77), GGTP(70) and A:G Ratio is 2:9. in present i am taking ofloxacin 200 mg BD and one herbal vitamin capsule OD. i also have drinking habit. What i can do please suggest. Regards Rakesh Kumar

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You have altered Liver function tests .It is important to know bilirubin level.Your problem is most likely due to alcohol intake.
You need proper clinical examination and investigations.
Investigations include routine hemogram,RBS,complete LFT,RFT,Lipid profile,Viral markers,Ultrasound of abdomen.Further investigations can be done if needed.
You should consult gastroenterologist.
You need tablet Ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily for three months.
You should immediately stop taking alcohol and avoid fatty food.
