Can Nasal Spray Worsen The Nasal Congestion?
i have been taking this nasal spray for a while non stop and when it wears off i have even worse nasal congestion. now i just read the bottle and it says that frequent use can worsen nasal congestion what can i do to stop my stuffy nose from this please give me advice because i am suffering and the only thing that can stop my stuffy nose is this nasal spray also i have allergies so maybe that couls worsen it. please help!!!

Hi,
Before advising I need to know which nasal spray you do use for stuffy nose. As far as I presume it may be decongestant nasal spray containing xylometazoline or oxymetazoline. Both these drugs are known to worsen the condition.
General advice:
1. Avoid allergen or conditions causing allergies.
2. Cover nose and face with face mask, use eye glass that completely covers your eyes.
3. Practice steam inhalations two to three times a day each for 10-15 minutes.
4. Keep away from furry pets if you have, don't use furry clothes or carpets
5. Use vacuum cleaner at home
6. Do some physical exercise and exposure to mild sunlight at least 10 minutes in a day
Next action: You need to have physical examination at least once by ENT specialist.
