Can Menopause Trigger Cholesterol Levels In Blood?

Hello. I am 46 years old and have begun to notice a change in my cycle. I normally have it for 4 days start to finish. Late last winter/early spring after the 4 days I have spotting for 3 days afterwards. My cholesterol went up from 199 to 269 in one year, with no changes to my diet. Even though I am not experiencing any of the other listed symptoms, could I be in the beginning stages of menopause?

Hi,

You have entered menopausal age. So this may be related to menopause. Your cholesterol is high increase your physical activity and take medication to reduce it. You can take cofibrate and take regular morning walk. Restrict oily food and take bland diet and avoid fast food. Take fresh fruits and vegetable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
