Can Low Iron Levels Cause Visual Impairment?

I had my iron levels tested and my doctor said that I am anemic.
Apparently my blood test came back with a level of 6? What that means I'm not sure.
regardless, I am not taking high doses of iron.
My question is... can low levels of iron cause visual impairment?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having anemia because of low iron levels.
Anemia by itself will not lead to visual impairment but anemia can lead to anemic retinopathy and can cause visual impairment.
The treatment of the condition is by treating anemia.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for treatment of anemia.

Thank you
