Can Low BP And Dehydration Cause DVT?

My mother in law had low blood pressure and dehydration, she was being fed through a PEG in her stomach. To combat the low blood pressure and dehydration she had lots and lots of fluids poured into her PEG this led to her left leg swelling. Could this have led to a DVT she then got in the left leg?, she had been bedridden for some months also

Prolonged immobilization can cause DVT ( deep vein thrombosis ). It is advisable to get Venous Doppler done to confirm or rule out DVT. Appropriate treatment is required if DVT is confirmed , otherwise risk of pulmonary thromboembolism exists which can be more hazardous.
