Can Karyotype Test Be Done While Having Irregular Periods?

Does someone require regular periods before undergoing Karyotype test? Is it absolute necessity? I ve been given chiro, myo inositol, folate and vitamin D3 tablets for one month before doctor will perform karyotype test. Does this medicine has any relation with karyotype test?

Hi,

The correction of irregular periods is not at all a pre-requisite of the karyotype test. The prescribed medications may be part of medical management of the current issue rather than karyotype preparation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
