Can Itchy Swelling In Armpit & Labia Majora Suggest STD?

Hi. A few weeks ago labia majora started to itch. I didn t really pay attention to this as it isn t the first time. This time though, the labias has become red, swollen and so itchy that I often have the need to scratch. I can t seem to find a reason for why this is happening. I have no red dots or anything visible other than the redness. Also I have not had sexual relations with another person for nearly 6 months so I doubt it s an STD. I am a little concerned as I have recently been diagnosed with some fungi in my armpit (I am not a native speaker and I m not sure if fungi is the correct term). It shares most symptoms since my armpit was also red and itchy (not swollen though)

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Itching in the labial skin as well as in the armpits can be due to fungal infection.
A clinical examination will be helpful.
Thus, consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and thus treatment.
Skin scraping may be required for fungal culture.
Treatment of fungal infection is topical anti-fungal ointment.

Thanks and take care
