Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes, I was reading the one about the itchy feet at night. I can totally relate. I have this itchy feet problem that only start up when I go to bed. During the day I have no problem whatsoever. Just at bedtime. Its really irritating because its so bad it interfere with my sleep. I have tried all sorts of antifungal creams to anti-itch creams and sprays. Nothing has worked. My feet are clean, I have no scales or hard skin. The it h is always around the heel. Is it possible that this condition could be related to stress.
Yes, some people suffer from restlessness in legs at night which hampers the quality of their sleep. They usually find that moving the legs gives relief. This disorder is called restless legs syndrome. Stress worsens these symptoms. Practicing relaxation exercises lowers the stress levels and helps control the symptoms. There also are medicines available which can be used to treat this problem. Usually dopaminergic agents like ropinirole, pramipexole etc are used but other options are also available. Please consult a doctor so that your diagnosis can be confirmed and treatment started. Till then try practicing relaxation exercises like progressive muscular relaxation. Detailed instructions are freely available online.
Hope this helps you. Best wishes.
