Can Itchiness And Pain Be Symptoms Of Athlete S Foot?

I have been told I have athletes foot. It s been under care for 2 weeks by Rx ointment. But it is very painful, and sometimes itches. Hurts more than itches. It has never spread to my other foot, hands, etc. Is it possible it s more than athlete s foot??

Hi,

If you suspect athletes foot..there may be itchy fissured erosed scaly lesions on foot. There may be itching and pain in the lesions. Secondary infection might worsen the condition. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and perfect treatment.

Oral Antibiotics, antifungal and antihistaminics may be considered. Topical preparations of antibiotics and antifungal cream may be applied. Antiseptic like dettol liq may be used to cleanse the affected part. This might be helpful to you.

I hope got my answer.

Thanks.
