Can Invokana Be Used For Type 1 Diabetic Patient?

My doctor is suggesting that I try Invokana to stabalize and lower my blood sugar. I have type 1 Diabeties and everything I read states this medication is for type 2 only and that type 1 diabetics should not take it. Why would this drug be good for type 2 but not type 1?

Dear sir i understand your concern.in my opinion this drug can be used for both diabetes but in this point of time we don't have sufficient data in terms of research and clinical trial.so we need to wait for few more days to start this wonder drug in type 1 diabetes...Dr Vamsi krishna Diabetologist
