Can Intubation During An Endometrial Ablation Lead To Coughing Up Of Blood?

Hello i had a endometrial ablation done thursday the 19th and the procedure was an in and out thing it went well went home after waking up and all that. The thing is friday the following day i started coughing up blood. I went to the E.R right away and they did all kind of exams. Everything came out negative and clear so they sent me home. Though today i had another episode and ended going to the E.R amd everthing again came out clear except now I show signs of a bit of anemia due to the blood loss. They ended telling me that it must of been from the intubation same thing they told me friday. I want to know can that happen?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Intubation can cause minor mucosal abarasions and might lead to bloody coughing. Generally, it will settle by itself.

If symptoms persists better to consult an ENT specialist and evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
