Can I Take Lisinopril In Pregnancy ?

Hi I am currently taking 5mg lisinopril a day for high blood pressure . I think there is a chance I may be pregnant , only 2/3weeks, is this safe?

Lisinopril is not recommended during pregnancy as it may cause harm to the fetus. Get yourself examined by a gynecologist and then take the recommended drug.

NO lisinopril is not indicated in pregnancy. It belongs to ACE inhibitors group of drugs and all ACE inhibitors are strictly contraindicated in pregnancy as they can cause serious fetal abnormalities. Shift to a better drug like methyl dopa which has proven safety in pregnancy.
