Can I Take Contraceptive Pill After An Unprotected Sex?
hi, i have had unprotected sex a day ago, and i have taken 4 tabs of marvelon birth control pills soon after. I have never consumed birth control before. I do not have access to emergency contraceptive since I reside in the UAE. Would marvelon help me? or could i switch to any other pill available in the UAE??

Marvelon is very effective if taken correctly. If you are unsure about how you are taking Marvelon then you can take a morning after pill within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. However, some medications like medicines of high BP, antifungals, TB, HIV, Hepatitis may stop oral contraceptives to work properly. Be careful about what medicines you are taking along with oral contraceptives. If you miss your menstruation report to your treating doctor immediately.
