Can I Take Allegra D For Ear Infection And Muffled Hearing?

I recently have gotten over pain in my ears from 2 ear infections i had to take 2 full treatments of amoxicillin, my ear drums ruptured, my left ear seems to be a bit better, but i still have a lot of fullness in my right ear, its going on 3 months of muffled hearing, i was wondering if there is a way to help move the fluid in the tubes, i also have bad allergies this time of year. i am 27, when i was younger i had tubes in my ears twice. I usually have problems in my ears this time of year but it seems to resolve itself in a couple of weeks. my question is, would allegra d help this problem more, or would mucinex d be better, i have read up on it and it seems to be mixed, Please help me, this is actually driving me insane, as i am a musician, and 3 months without good hearing is unbearable.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
First of all you need a detailed examination of your nasopharynx to rule out any pathology that may be obstructing the Eustachian tubes (tubes connecting your ear to the throat).
If nothing is found there and the consulting doctor pins all the problems on allergy only, then some medications like mast cell stabilizers may help to keep the symptoms under control, if started early during the season when the symptoms aggravate.
