Can I Take MT Pill To Abort Pregnancy?

Hi dr How much effective is mtpill for abortion.my doctor did a scan n again one more aftrr three days since she needed to confirm itbn also it wad very small as a blood vessel.nw it s in a round n small shape.i took mtpill yestrday n today two other medicine n tomorrow too the same.wsts the chance of complete anortion since m worried of other surgeries.

Understand your concern
Yes MT pill is used for successful abortion of pregnancy. But it should be used under medical supervision after confirming intrauterine pregnancy by USG scan. You have to take it under medical survilliance to prevent complication like excessive bleeding and incomplete abortion.
Take following advice:
Dose: mifepristone 600 mg orally should be followed by misoprostol 400 ug vaginally after 48 hours. If require another 400 ug after 4 hour should be given.
Follow up at 7th day and USG at 14th day to confirm retain product.
If excessive bleeding (2 pads /hour for 2 consecutive hours), foul smelling vaginal discharge and excessive cramps will occur, immediately consult the gynecologist. If abortion will fail you can not continue the pregnancy as continuation cause developmental defect in the fetus.
So do not worry, take MT pill under advice of gynecologist for effective abortion.
