Also, if the mesh surgery went wrong and you had it removed, there are higher chances of adhesions in this area. In this case, the cervix would not dilate due to the fibrosis and adhesions in this area. Also, A cesarean delivery is always recommended after a mesh surgery and more so, after a complicated / failed mesh surgery. It is best not to attempt vaginal labour as it may exacerbate your prolapse problems. Sometimes what you describe could fall under the category of Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy ( ICP ). In this condition, the bile salts fail to get metabolized properly due to the effect of pregnancy hormones. Liv 52 is often prescribed in this condition to support liver functions. It is perfectly safe to take this drug , so dont worry. You can continue taking it till term. Periodic fortnightly monitoring of the liver functions should be done though.
