Can I Give 'fepanil' To My Child For Fever?

My 2 year old daughter is suffering from fever for the last one and a half week.Also she is having high temperature frequently.I'm giving her fepanil for the last one week under my Doctor's prescription.Is there any problem of using Fepanil for a long time.One thing is that she is having temperature.Blood results and urine results are normal

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.

Fepanil is a paracetamol and using for long time results in cumulative toxicity due to paracetamol.

You can treat fever with Paracetamol at 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly ONLY if fever is > 100F. I suggest not using combination medicines for fever as usually most combination medicines combine Paracetamol with NSAIDs and is not advisable.
