Can i be pregnant if i take medication for schizophrenia ?

I am 25years old married woman i am taking arip mt 15 mg since 7-8 months before that i was taking 10 mg dose for 1 year and before that i was taking oliza 10 mg but due to the weight gain the doctor prescribed me arip mt is this medicine is given for schizophernia or not now i want to ask that is this medication stops the woman from being pregnant or not as i want to get pregnant now i am maried for 6+ months also i am taking medication since july 2009

As the previous psychiatrist correctly pointed out Arip does not prevent pregnancy, you have to discuss with your psychiatrist on moving to a safe medication for conception and risk-benefits involved. All the best

Oliza and Arip MT are belong to same group of medication and commonly used for the treatment of schizophrenia.
Arip MT is given to you for the same illness for which Oliza was given.
No, Arip MT does not affect or stop woman being pregnant. However if you are planning for it, better discuss with your doctor.
