Hi Dear
It is good that you have thought to control it by lifestyle and dietary measures. Dr Phalguna Kousika K has given a wonderful answer . Very rare doctors take out so much time and effort for giving such good advice.
At the same time dont stop your medication as it may lead to levels of blood glucose shooting up rapidly.
Regularly monitor your FBS levels and bring them under control as it is very important at your age.
Do you have high BP or hypertension also??
Good Luck
Have a healthy life!!!!!

Hi Bikram Debnath

Welcome to HealthcarMagic.

High level sugars are not comfortable for your health. I advise you take insulin/anti diabetic drugs regularly.
Secondly you should follow a strict diet schedule.
I advise to follow the following things
1)Maintain timings of your breakfast and meals strictly.
2)Eat in small amounts , in more number of meals.Avoid heavy meals.
3)Drink plenty of water.(This increases the function of kidneys)
4)Avoid high carbohydrate food.Avoid food s that are very easily digested.Add in more fiber. You can make this by eating more of wheat chapathi , less of rice.
5)Please take artificial sweetener.
6)You may go for a brisk walk and try yoga if you can.
7)Have a regular monitoring of blood sugars ,kidney tests , and HbA1C once in three months.
Anymore clarifications , feel free to ask or mail me.

Wish you a healthy , peaceful life.
