Can Hydrocodone Be Taken Along With Prolia In Shot Form For Osteoporosis?

Is Prolia, taken for osteoporisis in a shot form, mean hydrocodone should not be taken? There is a lot of pain, probably from the Prolia shot, and the hydrocodone is being taken to help that pain, IF there are no contra indications to the combination. Thanks.

Hello,

I understand your concern. There is no known interaction between Prolia and hydrocodone, and the latter can be taken to ease the pain caused by the shot. Alternatively, you can use acetaminophen (tylenol). Hydrocodone can cause dependence, so using acetaminophen instead is more advisable. Wishing you all the best.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ornela Ademovi
