Can High ESR Be Controlled Through Medications?

i have a high esr near about 100mm and HB 8 g. doctor advised me to take following medicines cartiquin1 - 1 , nucoxia 1 - 1 ,mexate 7.5 1 in a week , folic acid after two weeks esr reduces to 88 and HB 9 g. is this sufficient or some precautions should be taken in foods
