General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to HCM,
I understand your query. Genital herpes is generally caused by HSV(herpes simplex virus) type 2. HSV-2 is most often passed by vaginal sex. HSV-2 can also pass from one person's genitals to another person's mouth, resulting in oral herpes.
But HSV-2 cannot survive long on a non-living surface, like bottle neck. So the chances of you contracting herpes is negligible.
Hope this information was helpful.
Good luck.
