There are several excellent resources on the relative scientific merit of homeopathy
on the internet. Homeopathy was developed by a German "physician" who lived in the 18th and 19th centuries, before the discovery of the basic sciences which support modern medicine. Homeopathy is not considered to have any scientific merit and the effectiveness of homeopathic
"remedies" treatments have only been anecdotally related and have not been subjected to rigorous scientific testing required of prescription and non-prescrition medication, medical devices and diagnostic tests. Homeopathy is not regulated by the US government and therefore it is left wide open for selling, dispensing and administering these unproven "remedies" to the naive and uninformed.
