Can Glaucoma And Meniere S Disease Be Related?

I have recently had balance problems which the ENT consultant thinks may be Menieres disease, firstly they thought it was labarynthitis, just as i started to get this under cotrol my optician found that i have high pressure behind my eyes and i am told I am at high risk of closed angle Glaucoma, the Opthalmologist has said i should have Yag laser and in the meantime has given me eye drops. Is there any connection between the two? as it seems strange that both these problems should arise together. I am 64 years old and weigh just over 10 stone i am 5 ft 7 ins

They are not related. however you should give priority for diagnosis and management of glaucoma. Tension be measured, field tracing be done, fundus examination to asses cup disc ratio, anterior chamber examination, gonioscopy should be done. once glaucoma is confirmed treatment may be started.
