Can Gallbladder Removal Cause Numbness In Leg,throat Cramp And High BP?
Hello Doctor, I have been diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis. I have tested positive for an autoimmune disease. I have Reynaud s Phenomenon. I also been diagnosed with Addison s disease. All of this within a year. It all started with gallbladder removal and six months later had lower back surgery to release a nerve from L4-L5. This could be a reason why my left leg is numb. The numbness is still there and have spikey burning pain sometimes. Well, as of yesterday I had a throat cramp on the left side. Since then I have this weird discomfort in my neck. I have been told I have stenosis in my neck. Today I felt that I wanted to pass out and my BP was 164/92 with 72 pulse and that s after taking BP med. RIght now it is 185/89 with 71 pulse. I just don t feel right. All this is new to me since I was hardly ever sick until my gallbladder was removed.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your findings of Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, tested positive for an autoimmune disease, have Reynaud s Phenomenon with Addison s disease. Since then I have this weird discomfort in neck. Have been told you have stenosis in neck. Today you felt that I wanted to pass out and my BP was 164/92 with 72 pulse and that is after taking BP medicines. Right now it is 185/89 with 71 pulse. The problem in the leg is certainly related to the compression on the nerve by a disc and it is possible that the surgery is not really successful. Primary biliary cirrhosis as you may know is not curable and needs continued treatment as well as you have been diagnosed as autoimmune disorder. These are the reasons for all other symptoms. Get a symptomatic treatment. The only solution for cirrhosis is liver transplantation.
