Hello I have been taking flucloxacillin 500 grams capsules for 3 says now and this evening I have been having sharp pains going through my stomach, feeling really weak and tired, loss of appetite feeling sick and I feeling dizzy. Was wondering is this normal to have these affects while taking this medication? Roxanne Payne

Thanks for writing on HCM.
Stomach ache, weakness, loss of appetite are common side effects of flucloxacillin. However I would suggest you to discontinue the medication if it is disturbing your routine and switch to Cephalosporins (cefixime) in consultation with your doctor.Since both are equally effective I hope this should work well.Hope this answers your query.
