Can Emotional Upset Cause Thyroid, Goitre And Multicystic Nodules?

Hi

My question is, can emotional upsets be a factor in causing thyroid problems, borderline goitre right side and multiple cystic nodules? Hormone tests are normal. Past episodes of graves disease 10 to 15 years ago. I think my diet is ok. Neither overweight or under weight.

I have gone carefully through your concern!

No the emotional fluctuation is not responsible for the thyroid cysts.
Usually it is a hereditary component in patient with multinodular goiter.

So you should have a family member that probably is not diagnosed.
I would suggest to be under close monitoring as Graves' disease may activate again after some years.
