Can Drug Interaction With Antidepressant Cause Itchy And Painful Brain?

I ve had chronic pain for 2.5 years now. I d consider it an atypical headache caused by a bad drug interaction with antidepressants. My brain is extremely itchy and painful 24/7. I m wondering if there are any pain medications which can reduce this itchy sensation.

The itchy sensation of the SCALP (not the brain) likely represents a NEUROPATHY of some type, part of an allodynic reaction perhaps reflected in the chronic headaches from which you suffer. Medications that are for the purpose of treating neuropathy are things such as NORTRIPTYLINE, DESIPRAMINE, GABAPENTIN, DULOXETINE, LYRICA, TOPIRAMATE, and a host of others. The nortriptyline and desipramine are my choices for the chronic headache complaint as well.
