Can Dizziness While Stretching Be A Symptom Of Hypotension?

I experience spells of dizziness while (and following) stretching. It happens when standing or sitting, if I stretch my neck, back, chest, torso or arms. It s especially bad when I try to correct or hold proper posture or stretch in a way that puts my arms out or above my head. I have always had good blood pressure at checkups, but I don t check it regularly at home. I have an office job, and try to get up to stretch and walk around every hour or two but considering some of my recent lifestyle changes (in the last 6 or 7 months) that have really affected my body, I fear may have contributed to some sort of hypotension.

Hello dear,
Spells of dizziness on standing up may be due to hypotension. But it usually will not be there on sitting, unless BP is very low(unlikely).
But if you are getting this especially when you stretch out/up your arms,we have to think of a condition called "Thoracic outlet syndrome",where some sort of obstruction to neuro vascular bundle to our arm occur, from, for example an abnormal rib.To look for such issues, you please see your doctor. Some clinical tests and x-ray will resolve the issue.
Hope you will find this information useful.Thank you.
