Can Diuretics Cause Low White Blood Cell Count?

Hi. I am Nisa. I have a question aboyt white blood cell. When someone taking antibiotic or a drugs that contain diuretic, it can make decrease white blood cell. Can you please explain how mechanism antibiotic or diuretic can decrease white blood cell. Thank you

An increase in white cell count usually means that an infection is present, antibiotics treat infection and would therefore cause a decrease in the white cell count.

There are different types of diuretics and the side effects vary but they are not known to decrease the white cell count generally
