Can Discontinuing Progesterone Cause Side Effects During Pregnancy?

I am 26 weeks pregnant and am currently taking makena progesterone shots for delivering my daughter at 35 weeks. I was wondering if I was to come off of it would it make me have my baby early? It is making me very agitated and having bad thoughts and anxiety.

Yes it might affect the time of delivery so I would suggest you not to do any thing without doctor's detailed checkup and advise. As timing of birth and duration of pregnancy are crucial, and a premature baby can have many problems, some of them may sustain for whole life and effect quality of life.
