Can Differentiation In The Platelets And ITP Be Cured?

My daughter has low blood platelets she just got it tested and they are at 80000 she has had this in the past where she was diagnosed a year ago with ITP can this be cured? She was put on predizone then her platelets went up to 150000 however they have been going down and now they are at 80000 which I believe they should be between 150000 to 300000

Hi
Thanks for your query.
if she is otherwise fine with no bleeds, platelets of 80000 is okay. It can be observed over time. if it falls below 40000, we may increase the dose of prednisolone or add another drug.
often ITP gets better over time and may be cured.
Hope this helps.
Regards
