Can Deriphyllin And Cefolac Be Given To 6 Month Old Baby?
My little boy baby of age 6 months is suffering from Fever, nose congestion and severe cough for the past 7 days. I taken him to padietrician. He advised me to give Tuscold, Bro - Silentus and nasovion and asked me to come after 5 days. There was no improvement even after 5 days so the padietrician adviced me to Deriphyllin Syrup and cefolac CV 100 tab along with Tuscold, Bro Silentus and Nasovion. So now there 5 medicines to be given to a small child, I want your advice on this, is it ok to continue all these 5 medicines? Most importantly can deriphyllin and cefolac be given to a 6 months baby..?

Cefolac give at proper dose will not harm your baby.
Deripylline is required for bronchospasm and not for cold.
Tuscold you may continue
Steam inhalation gives better relief.
Paracetamol may be used to reduce fever.
