Can Dark Spot On Tear Duct Be Melanoma?

Hi, I have a dark spot on my tear duct that has been there since I was a child. I'm 55 years old, and my 28 year old daughter says she never notice the spot except for recently. It doesn't hurt. I use to think it was a freckle or mole. She says it may be melanoma . Is she right? I've lived in Santa Cruz , CA my whole life and never really wore sunglasses . Sincerely, Darlene

It is a mole. If it does not give any problem then forget about it. In day time you can put on darkglass. Sunlight has nothing to do with mole. Melaloma or pigmentation is linked to sunllight.Dark glass may cut ultraviolet rays so protect lense. This is not scientifically proved.
