Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi, i just wanna ask about the status of my right ovary ,my doctor told me 3 days ago that my right ovary is polycystic exhibiting abnormalities. now, i want to know if the cyst on my right ovary is curable? and if this would be affect by the time i got pregnant. thank you.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome or disease is usually a condition which cannot be completely reversed but the progression of the condition can be controlled to a certain extent with medications to help suppress the symptoms and also promote fertility.
Some women do experience difficulty with conception later on in life, but this is a very small percentage and even these women successfully deliver with the help of a doctors advise and treatment. My only advise to you right now would be to listen to your doctor, follow a particular diet, lose weight if you are obese or overweight for your height, and take the prescribed medication given by your doctor.
Best wishes.
