Can Cyst Cause Pelvic Pain?

i am 55 years old. I stop having a menstral cycle about 4 years ago. I began my cycle at 9 1/2. I have a pain my right pelvic region. It has persisted for about 5 days. Could this be a cyst. I was diagnosed with a large one abt 12 years ago during an unrelated surgery. We chose not to remove the ovary.

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you go for a USG (abdomen and pelvis ) and a urine examination (routine and microscopic) to rule out the main cause and for further management.

Meanwhile you can take meftalspass for pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
