Can crocin be given to baby along with phenergan for pain and fever after DPT vaccination ?
My baby just had DPT vaccine , having fever and pain. can crocin be given along with phenergan?

Fever and pain at local site is usual after traditional DPT vaccine and analgesic or antipyretic are given for relief of pain and fever.The fever and pain usually lasted for about 2 days and medications are given at every 6 hour.You mentioned two drugs and we usually use the first one not the second one according to the body weight.

Hello Suman,
There are 2 types of DPT vaccines,DTwP and DTaP. After giving DTwP injection chances of fever after 4-6 hrs is high . Fever may persist for 1-2 days along with swelling ,redness at the site of inj. U can give can give crocin drops 6-8th hourly for 2 days ,quantity depending on the weight. Syp Phenargan is not necessary.
