Can cough and urticaria be related?

I developed urticaria a few months ago due to a reaction from antibiotic. It was successfully treated with fexofenadine. I no longer suffer with the visible aspect of urticaria but I still get the physical feelings on my skin. I have also developed a persistent dry cough which I have now had for 5 months. Could the cough and urticaria be connected?

Hi,

Both don’t seem to be related directly although both could be allergic in nature.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi. I have been suffering from hoarse throat and dry cough. I am a pack-a-day woman and I am in my early 30s. I try to drink citrus juice and green tea every day. My vitamins are basically vitamins B and C. My height is 4 11 and I weigh about 110 pounds. I also don;t have a history of any serious disease except last year when I caught dengue and had to be hospitalized for a week. Is it possible that I have TB, asthma or lung cancer? Right now, I think I am only suffering dermatographic urticaria which is not serious, right? Thanks!

I was diagnosed with cholinergic urticaria. I took my allegra tablet before I exercised and by my 6th lap, though I did not itch, I tasted blood in my mouth and I often feel a sharp pain on the RIGHT side of my chest. After the exercise, I had a hoarse cough as though blood was stuck there. What is wrong? I started exercising very recently.
