Can Continued Hoarse Voice With Swollen Neck Suggest Cancer?
I have been very hoarse for over 9 months now and I am a non smoker but just noticed 1 days ago that the front of my neck was swollen and my dr is sending me tomorrow to a ENT dr to rule out any type of throat cancer. I just lost my only sister Aug 8 th to AML and a brother to bone cancer.!my Mom is a breast cancer survivor and I lost my paternal grandmother to breast cancer. My sister who passed away was actually given my cells in a transplant in 2006 that left her cancer free for over 7 years. Her doctors told me that the AML she developed was from my cells. My doctor told me today that my lymph nodes are swollen around my neck and collarbone and he wishes I had not waited so long to come and see him. Is it common for one s neck to swell if you have any type of cancer? And, should I be concered?
