Can Complete Recovery Be Expected After Surgery?

i have ulnar nerve decompression surgery and now the nerve has moved to lie the tip of humerus and is swollen and very tender. I am now awaiting surgery for ulnar nerve transposition which was not able to be done at time of first operation. Can i expect a complete recovery of feeling and ability to work full time again.

Hello,

Complete recovery may take some months to occur, but the results may vary on your individual regeneration properties. I recommend taking vitamins for nerve regeneration and performing a lot of physiotherapy after surgery, in order to gain function as soon as possible.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
