Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
Valsartan is a blood pressure medication belonging to the class ARB. These medicines do not produce any change in the heart beat. The side common effects could be cough, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, joint or back pain, mild stomach pain and tiredness.
Atenolol is a medication which can affect the heart rate and you can have heart jumps if it was stopped or the dose missed.
Also the heart jumps could be related to anxiety .
I shall be happy to answer if you have more queries.
Take Care
