Can Colonoscopy And Endoscope Be Done With A Sore Throat And Cold?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...I have colonoscopy and endoscope scheduled for this Wednesday..this is Monday. I just started developing a sore throat and cold symptoms. Is alright to go ahead with the scopes with a cold?

Hello,

In our clinical experience, we do not recommend to undergo a procedure which requires sedation or supportive anesthesia in a planned diagnostic tool.

So in your case, first cure of sore throat and cold is advisable before taking endoscopy and colonoscopy.
