Can Cold Pack Help In Healing Pain In Thigh Post Hernia Repair Surgery?

Hello I just had surgery on Dec 12 for repair of a hernia and a Tumor on the ovaries. I m experiencing pain in my right thigh, the feeling is as if my hand went to sleep and is not coming back to life. There is no bruising. just feels funny when I rub it, but get those sharp pains and numbness felling. Should I place a cold or hot pack to relief the pain?

YES, ICE PACK OR COLD COMPRESS HELPS TO RELIEVE PAIN!

In fact this is one type of physiotherapy; hot/cold compress alone or alternately ; cold itself reduces the sensitivity of the pain receptors thereby reduces pain. but this is symptomatic only therefore treating the underlying disease is always important!

But your pain describes the pattern of neurological pain that comes due to injury to nerves and needs a neurologist's opinion for assessment.
