Can Cocaine Cause Swollen Glands In Neck & Groin?

Hello, I m a man of 24 and since last year i ve used cocaine on a weekly basis . This was always without symptoms. But now I experience swollen glands in neck and groin, and I daily have a snotty nose. I also do not have the energy I used to wake up with. I am now completely done with it and decided to quit with my cocaine use. (2 weeks from now) Is it possible that the cocaine causes these symptoms?

Hello,

- It is possible you have developed a viral infection, which is why you have a leaky nose and the swollen lymph nodes.
- However, I would like you to undergo some tests to make sure its nothing more than just that:
-- CBC, ESR, CRP
-- HIV panel
- I commend you on your decision to quit.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
