Can Chronic Cough Be Due To Whooping Cough?
Hi, I have had a constant cough for about 4 weeks now, for the pass two weeks it has slow down but the coughing has been more aggressive. Most of the time I cough so hard I begin to feel like vomiting and now which worries me is especially at night when I cough, I gasp for air and I m not able to breathe for a short period of time. Could this be whooping cough? Help...please and thank you.

Whooping cough is rare in adults.
It might be an allergic cough.
Consult a pulmonologist and get evaluated.
A CT scan and throat swab might be helpful.
