In January of 2010 I started experiencing itchiness in my vagina. I went to my doctor and she diagnosed me with thrush. The effect however kept recurring. Between January and July I experience heaving bloating (swelling) and tenderness in my pelvic area. This has since surpassed.I took blood tests my gynae used the tests to measure my ca125 (I was diagnoseds with endometriosis 2 years ago)She said it was high. (could it all be related to the chlamydia?)Two days ago I took a home chlamydia test and tested positive for Chlamydia. I have a dull pain in my lower back (left side) and a whitish discharge. Is there a way of gaging how long I ve had chlamydia for? if so what are my chance of falling pregnant? Is there a procedure to reverse the damage so I canf all pregnant? Please help Worried and panicked
Hello, from the given situation I feel you should repeat a test for Chlamydia in laboratory and immediately start treatment for the same. Chlamydia is definitely a risk factor for endometriosis. Prolonged Chlamydia infection can cause pelvic inflammatory disease, damage to fallopian tubes and ovaries and result in infertility and ectopic pregnancy which is your concern. Ultrasound can help in knowing the extent of disease. But most important is treatment for both endometriosis and chlamydia, only then chances of getting pregnant improves. Your partner should also be checked for chlamydia and if positive treated for the same.
