Can Chewing Tobacco Cause Seizure?

i am starting to believe that chewing tobacco is causing my seizures. on day's that i am off i chew more often in the day, and i find that the next day i have a seizure. i have had epilepsy for maybe 20 years now and i have used chewing tobacco for just about the same. my doctor say's that tobacco can't cause a seizure, but i don't think she understand's how strong the kodiak i chew is. i just wanted another opinion on the subject.

Hi,

Tobacco is known to reduce the blood levels of many drugs by speeding up their metabolism. Probably it is doing the same to your anti-epileptic medicines. Fall in the blood levels of your medicines may be responsible for your seizures. Your doctor is right in saying that tobacco by itself does not cause seizures.

Best wishes.
