Can Change In The Content Of Normaxin-rt Cause Any Side Effects?

good afternoon doctor....... question is that.......1 medicine is availablae in the market .name is normaxin-rt...............in the past normaxin-rt contain ranitidin along with dicyclomine+chlordiazepoxide+clinidium bromide.......now it is change add rabeprazole instead pf ranitidine................................so my question is why rabeprazole is added instead of ranitidin in normaxin-rt? pls say the answer...........

Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor ( PPI) and Ranitidine is an H2 blocker.
Both are for reducing the acid secretion in the stomach. However rabeprazole is a more potent than ranitidine to decrease the acid secretion.
