Can Bronchodilators And Anxiolytics Cause Any Side Effects?

I have emphysema & am being treated with bronchodilators. I also have suffered from agitated major depression all my life & use anti-depressants, mood stabilizers & anxiolytics to control this. The latter are respiratory depressants. How long can I continue to use such meds as the lung condition progresses ? I m very scared of life without these becos I know I could not survive another acute major depressive episode (I would, at 64, probably suicide).
